Mark Hamre, CPA Partner

Mark has over 25 years of tax consulting and compliance experience and has been serving clients with Pope, Shamsie & Dooley since 2004. Prior to joining our team, Mark worked with Arthur Andersen in Dallas and Ernst & Young in Austin. He assisted clients with financial statement tax disclosures, net operating loss optimization, IRS examinations, tax credit studies and state and local tax planning. His current practice includes federal and state tax consulting and compliance for both public and private companies. Mark has extensive experience assisting clients with tax optimization at all stages of the company life cycle, including mergers and acquisitions, liquidations, intercompany transactions, reporting of international operations, income tax provisions and maximizing tax attributes. In his free time, Mark enjoys catching live music, enjoying the outdoors of Austin whether on water or ground, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
