Rashid Shamsie, CPA Partner

Rashid has over 30 years of tax consulting and compliance experience, serving both public and private companies across many industry sectors. He began his career with Price Waterhouse and later joined Ernst & Young’s tax consulting team in Austin. At Ernst & Young, Rashid led the State & Local Tax Team, implementing efficient state income tax structures and assisting clients with multistate sales tax issues. Rashid’s current practice includes federal and state tax consulting through all stages of a company’s life cycle, ranging from assisting early-stage companies with sales tax compliance on new streams of revenue, to maximizing the realization of tax attributes for companies turning the corner to profitability, to assisting with financial statement tax disclosure calculations for large multinational public companies. Rashid has experience being an integral part of a company’s tax team, leading business income tax compliance, federal and state income tax examinations, sales/use tax audits, income tax provisions, tax due diligence, and other tax consulting on a broad spectrum of transactions. Rashid is married to his high school sweetheart, has two children, and spends much of his free time at Lake Travis fishing, wakesurfing, and relaxing on the water with family and friends.
